The Electrical & Electronics Department association (Blitz Krieg) in coordination with IEDC SIMAT organized the Fifth Webinar of the ElectroBlitz Webinar series “Virtual Field Trip to NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory” at 8.15 PM on 07/06/2021. The webinar was attended by 50 registered participants from various professions
The webinar commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Renjith P C (HOD- EEE). The welcome address was followed by a brief Inaugural session. The webinar was inaugurated by Dr. Madhavan K T (HOD- Research & Development). The inauguration session Dr. Madhavan sir gave heartfelt thanks to the NASA Team & appreciated the efforts taken by the EEE department for arranging this special program. Vishnulakshmi P P & Terinshim (Student coordinators, EEE) coordinated the program.
For Virtual field trip, two eminent personalities from NASA JPL Team Mr. Brian White, communication division at NASA JET Propulsion Laboratory & Mr. Curtis Montano, the Public Service Representative at JET Propulsion Laboratory are leading the Virtual Field trip. Mr. Curtis Montano gave a brief introduction about JET Propulsion Laboratory of NASA at California, its recent innovations & future plans up to 2030. Also explained about Deep space network & Propulsion systems. Mr. Brian White leading the participants to the amazing field trip inside the JPL and explaining the different sections of the Laboratory. Explain the video of entering the lab with special uniforms and safety precautions. At the mean time questions from the chat box are answered by Mr. Curtis Montano. This field trip is another amazing experience for the participants to know more & more about JPL in NASA. The Virtual field trip ends at 9.30 PM.
The Show ends with a feedback session and presentation of a Thanks Note to the NASA Team. Mr. Sebin Sunny P – Assistant Professor – EEE Department delivered the Vote of Thanks specially mentioning Mr. Brian White & Mr. Curtis Montano from the JPL NASA Team.
