We Build Student Relations Better

We take the safety and well being of students very seriously. In and around the college campus, ragging is entirely forbidden and an anti-ragging cell exists to provide students on the college campus with a safe and secure atmosphere. Our primary aim is to raise awareness among students on the consequences of ragging, what students acts turn out to be ragging, and how it is punishable.

Ragging is any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fellow student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which cause or likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or junior student or asking the student to do any act or perform something which such student will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.

SIMAT ensures that the congenial and welcoming environment is given to the freshers. In view of the directions of the Honorable Supreme Court to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the courage of ragging and the Regulation for prevention and prohibition of ragging in AICTE approved Technical Institutions vide No. 37-3/ Legal/ AICTE/ 2009 dated 01.07.2009, the following committees have been formed by the Institute

Anti Ragging Committee

  • To ensure compliance with the provision of UGC regulation 2009 at the institute level.
  • To monitor and oversee the performance of the anti ragging squad in the prevention of ragging in the institution.

Rule – As per All India Council for Technical Education notified Regulation for prevention and prohibition of ragging in AICTE approved Technical Institutions vide No. 37-3/ Legal/ AICTE/ 2009 dated 01.07.2009
