INTERACTIVE SESSION – GVHSS OTTAPALAM – (04/02/2021)

Providing assistance and support for the physically challenged students are really indeed in the current society. By following all the COVID-19 Protocols, the NSS Unit 233 of Sreepathy Institute of Management and Technology organized a Career guidance and motivational training session for the deaf students of GVHSS, Ottapalam on February 4 from 10am to 12pm. The session was handled by Mr Sravan S (Joint Volunteer Secretary, NSS Unit 233, SIMAT). It was really a new experience with those young blooming buds.

FEED 14 ON FEBRUARY 14 (14/02/2021)

Few volunteers of NSS Unit 233, SIMAT visited the Pratheeksha Palliative Care Shelter at Koottanad. The volunteers enquired about the situations of the members of the old age home. They handed over the contribution collected by the NSS Volunteers of SIMAT, towards the food expenses; to Mr. Pradeep (Staff member, Pratheeksha Palliative Clinic).  In addition, the NSS volunteers also distributed the food kits to the needy families near the college campus. The representatives of the Nagalassery Grama Panchayath also assisted the volunteers.

ALERT-ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS CLASS (13/02/2021)

In relation with the road safety month observation, the NSS unit 233, SIMAT organized an awareness session “ALERT” through Google Meet on February 13th, for the students of SIMAT and SIAS. The session started with Manavageetham followed by welcome speech by Mr Syam Prasad G (Programe Officer, NSS Unit 233, SIMAT). The session was handled by Mr. VIKAS P V (Area Manager, Safety Training Network Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd.) It was really an informative and valuable session.

The speaker discussed various reasons behind road accidents in India and the ways to reduce them to a great extent. More than 100 students participated in the session and e-certificates were also distributed to the participants. The session came to an end by 12 pm with the vote of thanks by volunteer, Mr Harigovind C B.

NEERARIVU-WELL CENSUS PROGRAM (24/02/2021)

The NSS Unit 233, SIMAT & IEDC SIMAT in association with the Ground Water Department, Palakkad organized an inaugural ceremony of “NEERARIVU Well Census Programme”. The program started at 10:30 am in the college seminar hall. The welcome speech was delivered by Sri. Dr. S.P Subramanian (Principal, SIMAT) and the presidential address by Sri. V.V Balachandran (President, Nagalassery Grama panchayath). The program was inaugurated by Adv. V P Rajeena (Thrithala Block Panchayath president) and Smt. Shaniba Teacher (District Panchayath member) was the chief guest of the program. She Promised her complete support and wishes for the survey. Sri. Sebin Sunny (Nodal officer, IEDC-SIMAT) and Sri. Dr. George C.T (Vice Principal, SIMAT) delivered the felicitation speech. Sri. Anish M (Hydrogeologist, Ground Water Dept.) also took part in the ceremony. The program ended by 12pm with the vote of thanks by Mr. Arjun Aravind P (Volunteer Secretary, NSS Unit 233, SIMAT).
