After the Success of Last year Add on Course Programme – PGDIA (Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Automation) EEE department in association with IEDC & IEEE conducted a one day seminar “Automation & Opportunities” for both S7 EEE & S7 ECE students on 30th July 2016 at Seminar Hall. The main intention of this class was to make students familiar with various automation courses and job opportunities for both EEE & ECE Engineers in the fields of Automation Industries.
The inaugural ceremony started at 10.30 am with a Welcome Speech by Mr. Renjith P C– (Asst. Professor-EEE Dept). Prof P V Thankachen – (HOD EEE Dept). Gave an Inaugural Speech mentioning the present scenario of Employment. Among the entire engineering graduates only 8% of students are suitable for employment. He also mentioned the importance of Add-On Course programs for final year students. Mr. Subhash – Marketing Manager (Prolific Systems & Technologies) handled the first session. Session started with different Automation courses and Company Profile. He also mentioned the Job opportunities, & Career growth for EEE & ECE Engineers in the Automation industry.
After that there was an interactive session which gives the students a Brief idea about PLC, SCADA, VFD, Industrial Process Management and DCS. In this session Mr. Sainudheen (Faculty Prolific Systems & Technologies) interacted with the students about their idea about automation & Automation industry. Students asked a lot of questions about course certification and Role of engineers. After feedback session the program ends with vote of Thanks.
